(The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment)的官方回复:
Dear Sir,
The WW (Unemployment Insurance Act) insures employees against the financial consequences of unemployment. The loss of income may be temporarily cushioned by an unemployment Insurance Act benefit (WW benefit). This benefit bridges the period between one job and another. You are expected to find another job as soon as possible. The first 52 weeks of unemployment you can turn down a job offer if it does not represent suitable employment. In general, suitable work is interpreted to mean a job which offers wages comparable to your recent employment and work duties and which correspondends to your education level and your previous work experience. After a certain amount of weeks of collecting WW benefit you will have less flexibility when it comes to turning down jobs.
Then almost all work is suitable. We speak of common accepted work. That does not include a job as an prostitute.
With kind regards,
Ms. C. Raven

A spokesman for the Federal Labour Office said that if job seekers said they were prepared to work as, for example, dancers in strip bars, advisers could put them in touch with any suitable employers, but vacancies would not be displayed in job centres. He also stressed job centres would not look for prostitutes on behalf of brothels, nor offer sex industry jobs to people who hadn’t specifically mentioned it as an area of interest.
A spokesperson said that the labor office has “decided not to be active in that market sector” due to its belief that such work could infringe on an individual’s rights if he or she is forced to take the job. Kueperkoch insists he would only employ those who were interested and not those who felt they had no other choice.
