The internship assignment
We are a diverse team specialized in different skills working together to build state-of-the-art data products. You’ll be part of Tech leads, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and DevOps engineers to build insights products for ICMI. Chapters specialized in different areas will support you to grow in the data world and software development meanwhile you’ll help the product teams to deliver new features to our products. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the quality of data-based decision-making across IKEA while working with the latest technologies in a cloud-based environment in a multi-disciplinary team with architects, data scientists, data engineers, and insight specialists.
We are mostly working with the following languages, techniques, and frameworks
Python, JavaScript, Restful API, React, Azure, Databricks, AIrflow, Git, DevOps.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s study within Engineering, AI, Computer science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience in software development, preferably full-stack.
- Write testable and well-documented code.
- Preferably knowledge in designing efficient, robust, and automated data pipelines, ETL workflows, data warehousing, and Big Data processing.
- Preferably hands-on experience with database design in varying concepts.
- Familiar with the product technical lifecycle.
- Familiar with DevOps/agile way of working.
- Enjoy solving problems and creating efficiency in the development.
- Experience with Python or Pyspark is a pre.
- Experience preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning is a pre.
Most of all, it is important that you get excited by stepping into an environment with development opportunities. As our new intern developer colleague, you will be inspired by the possibilities and opportunities that digital and information technology bring to enable, transform and break new grounds. As a member of the team, there will be a mix of learning new skills from current team members.

This Internship is for 3 to 6 months and for 24/32 hours per week is based in Delft, Netherlands, and reports to the ICMI Chapter Manager.
